Top Five dumbest reasons why people got accused of witchcraft
1. Being sarcastic. John Willard, was the man in charge for arresting people during the Salem witch trials. Having brought in so many obvious non-witches, he went mental about the whole thing and he threw his hands up and said sarcastically "Hang them all! They're all witches,". The town thought "That' s just what a witch would say." and poor John Willard was promptly executed 2. Someone claimed to have seen a flock of birds land on your head one time. A lot accusations during the Salem witch trials was based upon "spectral evidence" so I can not definently say if this accusation of Martha Corey was true or not, but sadly Martha Corey was hung. 3.
